Thompson Tire Company Inc. is an employee owned business (ESOP) operated by the associates serving five locations in beautiful Southwest Virginia. Our founders established a reputation of service and value that continues throughout the organization today. We are an employee owned extended family that really knows the tire and automotive service business.

Growing from a single location in Christiansburg Virginia in 1968 to multiple locations in Southwest Virginia including Radford, Pulaski, Rocky Mount and Wytheville, our company is still expanding. To serve our retail / wholesale / commercial network, Thompson Tire has one of the largest tire inventories in the region. With warehouses strategically located to ensure that a large variety of tire sizes is available for our retail / commercial outlets. As a result of our large buying power, we have become a major distributor of Goodyear, Dunlop, Kelly, Star as well as other major and private brands in consumer and Goodyear, Dunlop, Steelmark and other major and private brand commercial tires to other tire retailers, service stations, car dealers, truck stops, commercial end users, supplying fleet and national accounts. Additionally, Thompson Tire also offers full line automotive service in all five locations. We offer road service, commercial and OTR repairs and retreading. Thompson Tire has the ability to supply and meet all of your service and tire needs from 4” to 40”. We also have a commercial sales force to supply new and retread truck tires to the motor freight carrier industry.
